Odom’s fiance was noticing that his pornography addiction was getting in between their relationship. Odom and Parr said they are happier and healthier in their relationship since Odom has stopped watching porn.
“I think that’s what drugs and porn did- took me away from being present. You always want to be present in your loved ones life,” Odom said.
12 Strokes and 2 Heart Attacks
Not only did Odom open up to the public about his porn addiction, he also opened up about his drug addiction. Odom was in a coma for 3 days and suffered from 12 strokes and 2 heart attacks after a drug overdose in 2015.
After getting released from the hospital, Odom went to drug rehab. He has been clean from drugs and alcohol since going to rehab, but his addiction to porn persisted.
Lamar Odom said that his porn addiction was harder to get rid of than his drug addiction. “I don’t think you can die from watching porn, even though you kill relationships [with] people that you really love. It is kind of sad because society is not always right. I never thought about porn related to human sex trafficking. The two go hand in hand. Once I heard that, it kind of [made it easier] for me to stray away from it,” he said.
He also said in an interview with Kevin Hart that he is clean, but his addictions never fully go away and every day is a battle. On the other hand, you might also want to check a similar story of overcoming porn addiction in this inspiring success story of Jordan Caron.

“For many years I struggled with watching porn. I shared in several interviews that I would get fined in the NBA for being late. I’d rather watch the last scene then stop and get to practice or get to the bus. I didn’t know It was an addiction because that’s something that’s not talked about in our community,” Odom said in this video.

I think porn hurts everyone involved. The people that are doing it, the people watching it, so for me personally I try not to engage with it,” Brand said during the video. Watch the video here.
